Blogging at SfN 2013 in San Diego, CA

I am pleased to be an official blogger for the 43rd annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience. California is home and, aside from family, this is a great reason to be back. As this is a major interest of mine, I will be routinely discussing news on epilepsy during this years meeting. However, I already have my eye on quite a few others things including news on learning & memory, brain computer interfaces, optogenetics and much more. A note about the format: typically, I try to use less technical language for this blog, and make sure I explain any concepts or jargon so that anyone can enjoy the content posted here. However, during the meeting I am asked for this blogging gig to consider my audience as the society members, as such, I will be writing with a style that has them in mind. For my followers that routinely visit my blog, feel free to ask me questions or comments on my posts and I will do my best to get back to you all individually to clarify anything in my posts. Thank you all for your tremendous support that you all showed me on on the 'best time to drink coffee' article. This blog has now exploded in popularity and I have been receiving emails constantly. Neuroscientists at #SfN13: Welcome to San Diego, California! I am certain this will be a very exciting meeting at the 43rd annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience this year. See you all at the Convention Center!
